One of the major evergreen Forest regions in the country, the Western Ghats, is a large North South Ridge running parallel to the western coastline is considered to be one of the main bio spheres of Asia. It is very rich in plant and animal life & is known to have nearly half of India’s flora & fauna. The South Western area of this land mass & the North Kerala is home to the dense rainforest areas.
The first part of your tour takes you through Coorg – also known as the Scotland of South India, where you drive past coffee, spices & rubber plantations, and through thick teak forests. Leave Coorg, and drive to an Elephant Training Camp and see how these gentle giants are trained & domesticated. Arrive at Wayanad in Kerala in the centre of the rainforests.
The richest expression of life on Earth', Silent Valley has a history dating back to many millions of years & fossil dating back to the Jurassic era were discovered here not long ago. Silent Valley is a virgin, fragile forest, nestled in the mountain folds of the Nilgiris in Southern India. In God’s own country, Kerala, Silent Valley is surely God’s own abode. Drive to Munnar’s tea plantations, Periyar – and finally the backwaters of Kerala.
Day 01 - Arrive Bangalore. Meeting & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 -Morning depart with guide for half day city tour of Bangalore, Which includes visit to Tipu Sultan’s Fort & Palace, The State Secretariat building, Botanical Garden, Museum. Afternoon drive to Hassan enroute visiting Shravanabelagola (approx.140 kms/3-4 hrs. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 - Morning half day tour of Belur and Halebid. Afternoon drive to Mysore (approx.120 kms/2-3 hrs). Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 - Morning depart with guide for full day city tour of Mysore, Which includes visit to Mysore Maharaja Palace, Barindavan Garden, St. Philomena’s Church, Chamundeshwari Temple, Srirangapatnam etc.. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 - Morning drive to Coorg (Aprox.120 Kms/3-4hrs). Afternoon sightseeing/ excursion. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 - Morning drive to Wayanad (Aprox.104 Kms/ 3-4 hrs.), check-in hotel. Afternoon safari in the Wayanad Wild Life Sanctuary. O/n at hotel.
Day 07 - Morning safari in the park. Later depart with guide for half day sight seeing, visit Soochippare Waterfalls, Meenmutty Waterfalls, Bathery Jain Temple Karapuzha Dam. Rest of the day free for leisure. O/n at hotel.
Day 08 - Morning drive to Calicut (Aprox 105 Kms/ 3-4 hrs.), check-in hotel. Afternoon visit The Thali Temple, Dolphin’s Point, and beach to view sunset. O/n at hotel.
Day 09 -Morning drive to Cochin (Aprox 159 Kms/ 3-4 hrs.) O/n at hotel.
Day 10 - Morning depart with guide for half day sightseeing of Cochin, which includes visit of St. Francis Church (Morning Closed on Sunday), Santa Cruz Basilica Church, Mattancherry Palace (Closed on Monday), Cherai Beach, Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Saturday), Willingdon Island, Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening witness Kathakali Dance performance show. O/n at hotel.
Day 11 - Morning drive to Munnar (Aprox 135 Kms/ 2-3 hrs.) Afternoon visit Nyayamakad Waterfalls, Rajmala, Echo Point, Tea Plantation. O/n at hotel.
Day 12 - Morning drive to Periyar (Aprox 160 Kms/3-4 hrs). Afternoon visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary with Elephant Ride by boat/trekking. O/n at hotel.
Day 13 -Morning tea plantation tour and continue drive to Kumarakom and upon arrival, board on backwater House Boat. Boat cruise along side the Kumarakom Bird Sancutary & bia Kuttanad Paddy Fields. O/n on board.
Day 14 - Morning boat cruise to Poothapandy Kayal, Mankombu, Pulinkunnu and covers all sightseeing ambience in Upper Kuttanad Area. Visit to Chavara Church and Champakulam is also included. O/n on board.
Day 15 - Morning after breakfast, disembark at Alleppey & drive to Cochin Airport to board flight for onward destination.
